Job Description

The Senior Technical Systems Analyst will provide advanced daily production support services for customers and ITS, including research and resolution of customer inquiries and requests, Technical configuration of the system, data analysis and reporting, customer training, and on-call services to support effective and efficient production operations of the system. Provides business process expertise by understanding business direction and designing systems that will support key initiatives on integration and Oracle SOA. Provides insight and guidance on Technical designs, and assisting in conceptualizing and communicating business needs into actionable solutions. Works closely with the architecture, technical and business teams to define application requirements, including researching, associating, and translating industry best practices and regulations into University requirements that can be further designed and developed. Translates business requirements into business process flows, high level data models, and other appropriate documents. Gathers and documents requirements; define, document setup and configure system as needed; conduct & facilitate fit/gap analysis and design sessions as required in order to deliver features and functionality to production systems. Collaborates with other teams to develop cross-functional solutions that meet business requirements and are easily maintainable. Supports the activities of the software development lifecycle, from capturing feature requirements, to designing and testing solutions, and ultimately to production implementation. Participate and support Functional Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing and User Acceptance Testing activities, including authoring test plans/scripts and testing. Define quality attributes, performance, constraints, and other non- functional requirements to support initiatives.

 

Manages requirements traceability information and tracking the status of requirements throughout the stages of implementation. Participates in reviews and inspections of requirements documents, functional and technical designs, and test material.

 

Required Qualifications

 

Bachelors' degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Must have expert-level knowledge and experience with Web Services Design (strong knowledge: SOAP/REST, WSLDs, XSD, JSON, Java programming), Development(using JDeveloper, Eclipse IDEs) and Deployment of Oracle Fusion Middleware (Must be proficient in Oracle SOA Suit 11g – BPEL, BAM, OWSM, Business Rules, Messaging and Oracle Service Bus (OSB) – Proxy/business service, message encryption/decryption, connecting to external/3rd party systems) and Oracle SOA functionality. Knowledge of SOA design principals is an essential part of this position. Minimum of 8 yrs hands-on experience in these products, including least 2 years of recent implementation experience. Understand the integration of PeopleSoft HCM with other systems (PeopleSoft Financials, Campus Solutions etc).

 

Experience with configuration strategy preparation. Thorough expert-level knowledge of business analysis function. Knowledge relating to the design of applications programs. Skills associated with analysis of processes and problems, information flow and architecture. Interpersonal and communications skills in order to work with technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to quickly learn new systems (UC, 3rd party systems).

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

PeopleSoft HCM Certification. Fluency with PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 system design and configuration, including significant roles in at least 2 major implementations. Experience in Mulesoft application integration and support.
