Position Summary:


The UX Manager is responsible for determining the overall strategy and prioritization of usability projects, in close collaboration with digital experience, upper management, and development. They are also responsible for guiding the designs toward a standard vision; thinking about the results holistically and as they translate across other banners and vehicles, and into future projects. The UX Manager should effectively lead a team of UX designers by clearly articulating project vision and requirements, design direction, and feedback; while also challenging the team to seek out opportunities and identify ways to improve results. They have a strong understanding of analytics, data, and metrics; and actively partner with members of the visual merchandising and analytics teams to influence usability decisions and designs. They should have excellent communication skills, allowing them to effectively communicate with all areas of the business.  


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage a growing and experienced team of UX/UI designers 

  • Monitor the competitive landscape to identify emerging tech trends and UX strategies to fuel our digital roadmap and enhance the customer experience. 

  • Craft UX storytelling that helps us communicate our vision and strategy to various internal stakeholders 

  • Provide guidance as the team works toward our business objectives — inspiring, not merely directing, and ensuring that the products we build are designed to create impact. 

  • Guide team in building, executing, and analyzing User Testing plans as needed to support ongoing initiatives and new projects with reinforcement from users on key design decisions. 

  • Look for opportunities to refine and improve the project process, creating a more efficient handoff of projects between digital experience and IT/development. 

  • Identify problems and devise elegant solutions that satisfy business objectives and brand guidelines, while improving customer experience and perception. 

  • Excellent communication skills, able to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions.  

  • Collaborate and provide direction to both business partners and developers on project details. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications. 

  • Welcome feedback and constructive criticism and has the ability to pivot to a new idea or concept quickly.  

  • Passionate about all things UX, resolving problems and pain points through great design solutions.  

  • Make strategic design and UX decisions based on business objectives and priorities 

  • Ask smart questions, take risks, champion new ideas, push boundaries 

  • Challenge team members to push designs and solutions to the next level and encourage them to do so. 




  • This role requires creativity in UX, CX, UI, and visual design.  

  • This role would manage a team of UX Designers 

  • Knowledge of the intricacies of user experiences across all technology platforms, technical understanding of ecommerce tools, critical thinking and KPI analysis.  

  • Excellent communication skills; knowing how to communicate to internal teams and stakeholders. 

  • Excellent time-management skills; knowing how to balance shifting priorities and deadlines.  

  • Solid understanding of ADA Compliance best practices 

  • Solid understanding of HTML / CSS 

  • You are comfortable working in spaces with significant ambiguity and leading product discovery
