Job Description Change Communication Specialist Location: Johnston, Rhode Island Date Posted: 3/9/2023 Employment Type: Consulting Recruiter: Clayton Minnich Recruiter Email: clayton.minnich@avidtr.com Job ID: JN -032023-15503 Job Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and deliver content as part of a comprehensive communication plan in alignment with the change strategy that includes the purposes, timelines, audiences, messaging, campaigns, and tactics Ensure integrated and holistic communications planning/execution occurs in partnership with all key stakeholders (including marketing) across multiple initiativesProvide communication counsel to guide nomenclature, major messages, language, tone and deliverables Develop innovative communications approaches and content that communicates concepts in clear and concise manner and in an accessible language that can connect with target audiencesIdentify relevant communication opportunities and guide the project team in utilizing best practices (process, platforms, tools) to maximize communication effectivenessGauge audience saturation and adjust approach to address issues/risksTest tactics, formats, and platforms; support measuring the success of communications strategies and tactics using analytics; share findings and recommendations with change lead and project team to inform future planning and overall effectivenessManage and update content across relevant platforms; continually define and measure the impact of change communications Work with key inititiave stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop communications, including email announcements, powerpoint presentations, articles, talking points, website copy, video scripts, basic video editing, etc.Conduct and execute on research to ensure messages are relevant, accurate and targeted appropriatelyEnsure that communications are aligned with corporate objectives and that the brand message is consistent with the the company standardsCreate, organize and update content in our central repository to ensure all content created is easily accessible QUALIFICATIONS:Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Change Management, Marketing or related rolesCommunications focused on change and experience supporting large Corporate TransformationsExperience executing on large, complex Communications StrategiesExperience executing on large technology transformations a plusFinancial Services / Insurance experience a plusSupporting client communications within an agency setting a plus Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge of strategic change communications, stakeholder engagement, and change management best practicesProven ability to get up to speed quickly in a complex business environment, understand subject matter and craft messages that will resonate with your target audience Ability to collaborate, connect across teams and work with senior leadershipComfort working with internal marketing, external agencies and creative teams to facilitate executionExperience developing talking points, crafting emails, writing articles and supporting video creationExperience leveraging various communications channels to deliver messagingAbility to work independently and in large transformation teams, prioritize workload to meet demands, and be well organized and proactiveComfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment with quick turnaround timesOutstanding written and verbal communications skillsExcellent deck-building/PowerPoint skills EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or other closely related fieldProsci ADKAR Certification or other formal Change Management training a plus Apply for this job
