Job Description

Overview/Responsibilities: 
  • We currently have an opening for a .NET Software Engineer with specific experience supporting WPF and WCF applications.  
  • Supports, maintains, and enhances both WPF and web based multi-tiered business applications. 
  • This individual will also participate in Agile practices employed in the team. 
  • This individual will communicate with colleagues and other stakeholders to analyze complex business requirements and processes, assess available technologies, determine infrastructure, and recommend solution options. 
  • Incumbents will support and enhance application solutions which may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies, and tools. Incumbent will participate in and help drive forward test automation effort as defined by the team. 
Qualifications:
  • Technical Knowledge 
  • Strong proficiency with C#, .NET, data structures, basic algorithms, and applying object-oriented principles and design patterns.   
  • Solid understanding of architectural principles of software development, data modeling, and security.  
  • Strong proficiency with development tools such as Visual Studio and Git.  
  • Strong proficiency with relational databases design and query construction and optimization (SQL Server preferred). 
  • Strong proficiency with building and support large WPF applications. 
  • Strong proficiency with designing and implementing both WCF and RESTful APIs. 
  • Experience developing database stored procedures using T/SQL  
  • Experience with object-relational tools such as: Entity Framework, EF Core, Dapper, or NHibernate.  
  • Experience building Web applications with ASP.NET.  
  • Experience in ETL & Reporting.  Example: SSIS and SSRS 
  • Experience implementing unit and integration tests with NUnit, xUnit, MS Test, Selenium or similar.  
  • Experience designing and implementing test automation code using C# and other programming languages, automation scripts, and test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Ready API, and other resources.  
  • Ability to effectively participate in peer code reviews and pull requests.  
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related subject area; or equivalent work experience and training. Advanced degree and certification are desirable.
