Job Description

AVID Technical Resources is partnering with our client to find a Business Analyst for a full-time opportunity in West Des Moines, IA. 
 
The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, specifying, and validating the business needs of various internal customers. This includes communicating with stakeholders and defining user requirements to the development team throughout the product life cycle as well as managing the project. Precise documentation will be necessary to track and manage the progress of projects.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Charts existing business processes in order to define current business activities
  • Prototypes new procedures to enhance business processes, operations, and information process flow
  • Prepares and delivers reports and recommendations
  • Researches various business processes for improving efficiency and quality
  • Performs cost-benefit and ROI analyses for proposed changes
  • Creates and deploys feedback mechanisms for end users, analyzes results, makes recommendations for support process improvement, and implements changes
  • Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements
  • Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements
  • Submits project plans to be approved by the manager
  • Evaluates documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems
  • Assists in conducting research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts
  • Communicates with QA, business users, and development teams on project requests.
  • Assists in beta testing or testing first release on projects
  • Queries and analyzes data
  • Project management duties as necessary
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst
  • Experience working as a BA within an investment or finance company or department
  • Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems or products
  • Knowledge of OPUS and/or LifePro for Software testing is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills
  •  Ability to analyze information with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a full-time role without sponsorship
