Description:
The role will gather and document requirements, assist in streamlining processes, research various solutions and work collaboratively with the technical team to implement the solutions.

MUST HAVE:

  • Experience working in consumer portals
  • Experience in UI/UX or working with UI/UX Analysts
  • Experience with evaluating content within Portals to improve the customer experience
  • Ability to review content on a site and make recommendations by working with development team or with UI/UX collaboration

Specific Job Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a BA overall.
  • Experience gathering requirements and design and deploying best practice process solutions that help achieve the strategic goals of the university.
  • Experience with process design and data flow
  • Lead process discovery, re-engineering, improvement and analysis sessions to identify solutions that are repeatable, efficient and accelerate value by employing proven best practice solutions.
  • Experience using Enterprise Data Catalog or relevant tools
  • Understanding of data analytics terminology and concepts
General Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Gather, analyze, document and manage business and user requirements (functional and non-functional)
  • Responsible for researching and analyzing business functions and system requirements
  • Performs gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation of business and / or technical needs
  • Documents business and / or technical needs using textual, and visual, modeling deliverables designed to help meet its strategic objectives
  • Facilitates small to medium sized groups of individuals, representing significant diversity in interest and level of leadership, to a common understanding of a solution
  • Fosters team building and self-driven skill development through active participation in appropriate training and mentoring
  • Consults with subject matter experts and project team members to identify and document potential business and technology solutions
  • Identifies, manages, and tracks business and technical needs objectives throughout the project's lifecycle
  • Identifies and communicates project issues and risks to leadership with suggested mitigation and resolution approach options
  • Coordinates project or initiative tasks with relevant team members, stakeholders and leadership
  • Manages day-to-day business interaction and business expectations in relationship to assigned deliverables, with the guidance of functional manager, project manager, and mentor
  • Builds strong relationships with Business Stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts, Functional Domain Leadership, and other service teams
  • Lead testing efforts with functional leads and end users to ensure user stories and requirements are met and prevents issues in production
  • Develops and provides training to end users and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience preferred
  • Demonstrates strong Agile expertise
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to work in geographically dispersed teams
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrates strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate strong facilitation skills with the ability to drive toward common solutions
  • Demonstrate strong interviewing, listening, and observational skills used to identify and define business and technical needs
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and conceptual skills used to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, while reconciling discrepancies
  • Demonstrate strong analytical modeling skills (models that clearly and easily communicate concepts to customers)

  • Understands business process design/analysis
