Job Description

The Dental Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for Implementing and maintaining dental equipment and machinery, as well as ensuring the equipment's safety standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to improve patient care through the development of new technology and equipment. 
  • Implement and maintain dental equipment and machinery, including but not limited to lab equipment and X-ray machines.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to identify areas for improvement in dental equipment and patient care.
  • Work with leadership to implement a Biomedical program to advance and manage the necessary equipment for TUSDM
  • Conduct research and development on new dental technologies and equipment.
  • Test and evaluate dental equipment to ensure that it meets safety and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and manuals for dental equipment.
  • Provide training and support to dental staff on the proper use and maintenance of dental equipment.
  • Stay up to date on advancements and changes in dental equipment technology and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols. 
Requirements:
  • Skills and experience typically acquired through a Master’s Degree - MBA/MS
  • Years of experience: 5-7 years of experience in biomedical engineering with a focus on dental equipment and technology
Preferred Skills: 
  • Experience in a health care setting
  • Strong technical skills in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and safety standards related to dental equipment and technology.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with dental professionals and other healthcare providers.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labor as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
