Job Description

  • Five to seven years business management experience with an understanding of operational and customer requirements within an academic institution or other environment of similar complexity
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience effectively leading cross-functional teams in support of organizational and continuous improvement projects
  • Demonstrated proficiency applying Lean Six Sigma and other business process improvement methodologies for analysis, data collection, generation of solutions and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience applying Organizational Change Management methodologies (preferably PROSCI) with emphasis on team behavior change
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to manage organizational change; create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues through use of strategic thinking, long-term goal assessment and implications
  • Experience Value Stream and business process mapping, analyzing and reengineering business processes in an organization of considerable size and complexity with diverse customer needs
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Facilitation skills to effectively lead meetings and forums to present complex data; extract relevant functional business information; elicit constructive input and develop consensus among groups and constituencies with differing principles and perspective
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal; excellent active listening skills; ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Experience training and providing mentoring support on process improvement methodologies (i.e. Lean Six Sigma)
  • Understanding of a wide variety of business functions (e.g. human resources, finance, payroll, etc.); working knowledge of higher education structures and functions
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Visio, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills
