Technical (IT) Scrum Master

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Technical (IT) Scrum Master. The candidate will have strong experience managing scrum team ceremonies and solid technical project management fundamentals. The position will support scrum ceremonies for two administrative application development teams.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions*):
The primary function of the Technical Scrum Master will be to guide the assigned scrum teams in using Agile methodology and scrum practices as they develop and deliver software to enterprise class applications in line with project milestones, agile cycles, and key business events. The Technical Scrum Master collaborates with Technical Managers, software developers, business analysts, and infrastructure support teams to plan and execute projects. The candidate facilitates scrum ceremonies and provides coaching to support the team in continuous delivery, milestone achievement and continuous improvement.

Typical Core Duties:
Responsibilities include:
• Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
• Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
• Proactively collaborate, engage, and support product owners on product progress and backlog issues
• Leverage project related technologies to ensure effective scrum team collaboration

Basic Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum two years’ experience in agile/scum and/or IT project management, preferably in enterprise class applications
• Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software, and infrastructure
• Experience working with Agile project management methodologies

Additional Qualifications:
• Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
• Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
• Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders
• Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work
• Experience facilitating meetings and fostering collaboration amongst cross-organizational teams
• Proven attention-to-detail and ability to balance multiple projects
• Strong organizational and listening skills
• Experience with and/or understanding of enterprise application architecture and ERP systems
• Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional boundaries
• Possess an attitude that supports an Agile working environment
• Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor
• Experience developing clear, context aware communications
• Understanding or experience with DevOps, a plus
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and Sharepoint
• Experience with IT and PM productivity tools such as ServiceNow, Atlassian JIRA/Confluence, Slack, Miro, Smartsheet, IdeaBoardz, and/or Trello
