IT Support Engineering / Helpdesk

This position is responsible for IT infrastructure for our client.  The IT Engineer reports administratively to the Controller and is based in on-site and functionally to the Global IT Infrastructure Manager. 

Brief Job Description:
The professional will need to keep the IT infrastructure up running and operative for our client. The professional should follow Global IT Policies maintain the system updates and keep in line with the Global standardization.  The professional will take care of physical maintenance and local support of the users and should maintain the helpdesk system to keep updated.
  • Installing and configuring client computer hardware, software, network, printers and scanners following the global specification;
  • Manage user accounts and issues within Active Directory
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software and hardware properly documenting all issues in the helpdesk system
  • Maintain and improve the Asset Registration within the Helpdesk System
  • Work with I.T. Vendors for purchases, service, and issues
  • Walk colleagues through steps to help them resolve their technical problems
  • Maintain and improve IT procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Providing technical support in person or remote for U.S. sites
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary sticking to global IT Policy
  • Testing and support the implementation of new technology, solutions, or applications.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to work well independently.
  • Work on Global IT projects as needed
Requirements
  • Preferred Bachelor Degree in IT Engineering
  • Three to five years’ experience working with IT support
  • Must be organized and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Moderate understanding of network technologies
  • Some travel required to remote sites (annually)
