Job Description

AViD Technical Resources is seeking a Product Manager with an in-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence products to work fully remotely for their Health Care client in Los Angeles

  • Assist with customer engagement efforts by coordinating meetings with customers called Prioritization Committees
  • Facilitate the smooth transition of customer requests between Prioritization Committees and the Project Management team, the Business Intelligence Operations team, and/or other Technical Resources
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Takes in stakeholder requests to determine goals, time frames, funding limitations, staffing requirements and allotment of resources. Reviews product requests against institutional business needs and policies and works with stakeholders and governance group to prioritize.
  • Develops a business capability roadmap for what business outcomes that digital products will deliver.
  • Manage the product roadmap and ensure these business outcomes are aligned with the strategic roadmap and vision
  • Create marketing and training materials related to the products that are developed, enabled and offered
  • Engage customers in understanding their analytical needs and appropriately match products to fulfill those needs
  • Fully understand the product offerings in order to share knowledge and best practices with customers
  • Manages products through all phases of the life cycle, including content development, analysis, design, testing, and integration of products as well as the introduction of products to the stakeholders. 
  • As a member of a cross-functinal team work closely across the organization- with stakeholders, users, development and operations- to ensure product success.  
  • Works with technical teams to set priorities for the product release and enhancement to shephard products through launch and enhancements. 
  • Write detailed business and functional requirements documents and user flows to support product requirements. Should have a working knowledge of data mapping, systems integration techniques and overall understanding of database design/data modeling.
  • Develop and deliver in-person and virtual training on various analytical tools
  • Define and share best practices and guidelines for building visualizations, publishing content and optimizing performance 
  • Promote engagement and adoption of SAP Webi, Tableau, MS Power BI and other enterprise approved analytical solutions to new and current users from each center of excellence
  • Support to resolution end-users issues related to SAP Webi, Tableau, MS Power BI and other enterprise approved analytical solutions functionality, performance and best practices
  • Work with the self-service community and centers of excellence to problem solve and facilitate additional usages of self-service tools
  • Promote and drive centers of excellence analytical tools custom workshops 
  •  Assist in establishing procedures for promoting best practices related to Self-Service BI tools and solutions
  • Assist and coordinate tasks related to access, security and compliance requests
  • Coordinate analytics training program process & documentation
  • Facilitate meetings, provide project status updates and facilitate the flow of communications between various teams 
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors and deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
Candidate must have a minimum of 2-5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in IT and the following:
•    Experience managing customer accounts or customer groups
•    Experience with managing the product lifecycle for technology based tools and solutions
•    Effectiveness at leading through influence across multiple competing stakeholder groups, with above-average communication skills, both written and as a presenter.
•    Technical skill and/or ability to acquire in-depth knowledge and use of Business Intelligence products with a solid knowledge of the Business Intelligence industry and data visualization best practices 
•    General knowledge of databases, data warehouses, and data management practices (preferred)
•    Knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL Server (preferred)
•    Ability to be a team player willing to cooperate and coordinate with other technical staff
•    Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative Environment.
•    Technically competent with various software programs, such as Project, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
•    Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities
•    Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
•    Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
•    Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
•    Strong written and oral communication skills
•    Strong interpersonal skills.
•    Excellent customer service orientation
