AVID Technical Resources’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is our pledge as an organization to be a responsible and ethical participant in the local and the global community. We recognize that as a company, we have an impact on the world in which we live, and the people we interact with on a daily basis. Our actions impact our employees, our customers and clients, the communities in which we live and work, and the environment. AVID’s CSR represents our commitment to operate in an economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable manner.

Ethical Sourcing and Sustainability:
We believe that our commitment to sustainability and ethics extends beyond our own work capabilities and should include the decisions we make as a company about the partners we align with, and the products and services we buy. Our purchasing policy takes sustainability and ethical sourcing into consideration throughout all stages of the purchasing cycle, and we encourage our teams to support local and small businesses to minimize carbon footprint and support local economies. We encourage our purchasing teams to consider ethical sourcing and sustainability across all purchases, including office products and supplies, food and beverage choices, technology, hardware, and other capital equipment purchases.
Protecting the Environment:
We are very environmentally conscious at AVID. This starts at the top with the founders’ personal and moral beliefs, and these principles have become a part of the fabric of our company. Some of the policies we have adopted are common-sense approaches towards a greener existence, while many polices are more involved. We will always follow best practices while disposing of assets, and recycling, and seek out working facilities that strive to minimize their carbon footprint through LEED certification and other environmentally sustainable best practices. We will aggressively promote initiatives that lead to a reduction of energy and paper consumption, and work tirelessly to reduce our carbon emissions.
AVID understands the value of human relationships and that people are at the heart of our business. EcoVadis (www.ecovadis.com) was launched to address the needs of Procurement Executives who were looking for reliable Sustainability indicators on their suppliers. EcoVadis operates the 1st web-based collaborative platform, allowing companies to assess the environmental and social performance of their global suppliers
EcoVadis Customer Social Responsibility (CSR) Rating Methodology Overview:
The objective of the EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) rating methodology is to assess the quality of a company’s CSR management system – through its policies, implementation measures and results. The assessment focuses on 21 issues which are grouped into 4 themes:
- Labor & Human Rights
- Sustainable Procurement
Ecovadis has assessed over 55,000+ companies to date with their industry-leading questionnaire, analysis and scoring system. After thoroughly assessing a company EcoVadis provides the company with a medal if they qualify. Among this entire group of companies, only 5% of organizations have achieved a “Gold” medal.
AVID received a “Gold Medal” after it was assessed!
- Gold Medal = Top 5% (overall score between 62 and 100)
- Silver Medal = Top 30% (overall score between 46 and 61)
- Bronze Medal = Top 65% (overall score between 37 and 45)
