Strategic Account Manager (SAM)

AVID Technical Resources provides career opportunities for all of our employees. Every Senior Account Manager who works hard and produces will be eligible to become a Strategic Account Manager (SAM). With the promotion, comes an increase in base salary and additional responsibilities. As a Senior Account Manager, you’re responsible for the following duties/responsibilities:

  • Focus on a target account, or accounts, identified by management.
  • Identify, build and maintain relationships with key decision makers and managers at targeted accounts.
  • Prospect for additional business leads and manager names within target account(s).
  • Develop and implement strategic plans in order to solidify long-term business relationships and partnerships with clients.
  • Lead by example with sales activity to include:  call volume, required number of client meetings, lunches, out of office events.
  • Lead by example with establishing client relationships and prospecting/breaking new accounts.
  • Maintain individual revenue goals on a weekly basis.
  • Prove to consistently be one of the weekly revenue production leaders in the office.
  • Hit a minimum of 1 AVID Technical Resources annual revenue “contests.”
  • Use discretion and best judgment to make the requisite number of cold calls to perspective clients (and candidates if necessary) to generate new business for the Boston office.
  • Maintain a high volume of calls (75-100 calls per day).
  • Work under tight time frames and hard deadlines while meeting and exceeding activity and production goals.
  • Work to generate significant volumes of placements on a staff augmentation, temporary, temp-to-perm, direct hire and/or payroll basis.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans in order to solidify long-term business relationships and partnerships with targeted client(s).
  • Use judgment to determine how to best increase market share by prospecting, pursuing, and closing new business.
  • Supervise work of IT recruitment staff when necessary to ensure that sales activities are aligned with business goals.
  • Manage and supervise IT recruitment staff so they identify potential leads through IT recruiting activities.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients.
  • Develop methods to effectively seek new avenues to further penetrate targets account(s).
  • Day to day oversight and management of assigned AVID IT recruiters if necessary.
  • Help create best practices and identify areas of improvement for the company.
  • Follow up with all IT recruiter leads with a sense of urgency.
  • Identify prospective clients and new business opportunities for the Boston office.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans in order to solidify long-term business relationships and partnerships with clients.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by AVID’s Principals.
