Job Description
This role focuses on designing and delivering engaging, user-friendly training programs that help staff, faculty, and students adopt modern workplace technologies. The ideal candidate combines technical understanding with a passion for simplifying complex tools through instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate live and virtual training sessions on modern workplace and academic technologies
- Translate technical concepts into accessible, actionable learning experiences
- Design and maintain training materials, including scripts, presentations, and recorded sessions
- Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging
- Identify training needs through meetings, service rollouts, and user feedback
- Ensure accessibility and relevance of all training content
- Support continuous improvement through learner feedback and analytics
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology or 3+ years of related experience
- 3+ years of experience teaching or training, ideally in a technical or academic setting
- Strong curriculum design and instructional writing skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and clearly communicate complex tech concepts
- Proficiency with tools such as Canvas, Microsoft 365, Panopto, Smartsheet, and Robin
- Experience with media production and screen recording tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Curiosity, self-direction, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- 2–4 years of experience supporting academic technologies or instructional design
- Master’s degree in educational technology or related field
- Familiarity with learning analytics, accessibility standards, and IT service management
- Experience working in higher education or research environments
