What You’ll Do
Lead Change Communications
- Build strategic communication plans for technology rollouts and organizational changes
- Create targeted messaging for different audiences—explaining what’s changing, why, and what they need to do
- Manage multi-channel campaigns across email, intranet, digital signage, and more
- Work closely with project and technical teams to understand key updates
- Turn complex technical info into accessible, user-friendly content
- Write clear and concise resources: quick guides, FAQs, help articles, training materials
- Collaborate with IT teams, project managers, and support staff to align messaging
- Participate in planning meetings to anticipate user needs and communication challenges
- Coordinate efforts with other departments to maintain consistent, effective messaging
- Track user feedback and engagement to refine communication strategies
- Stay current on trends in change management and digital communication
- Experiment with new tools—including AI-driven platforms—to improve outcomes
Required:
- Solid experience in marketing, communications, or user-focused writing (especially in IT or tech settings)
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a knack for simplifying complex topics
- Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience supporting change communications or digital transformation projects
- Familiarity with CMS and email marketing tools (WordPress, Mailchimp, etc.)
- Understanding of user experience (UX) and accessibility principles
- Ability to create multimedia content (videos, graphics, interactive materials)
- Background in higher ed, enterprise IT, or other complex organizational environments
- Curiosity about AI-powered tools for writing and engagement
- A strategic mindset paired with a hands-on, get-it-done attitude
- A track record of helping people feel supported and informed during times of change
