Job Description
Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Integration Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Workday Finance and Payroll to guide integration strategy and execution across enterprise systems. This role is both strategic and technical—ideal for someone who thrives in a hybrid leadership/individual contributor position and enjoys working collaboratively across IT and business teams.
As the Integration Lead, you'll architect and manage end-to-end integration workflows, ensuring smooth and secure data movement between Workday modules and external systems. You’ll play a key role in maintaining operational stability and data integrity while optimizing automation and business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Lead the design, build, testing, and deployment of integrations within and around Workday Finance and Payroll.
-
Serve as a player-coach: provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on in coding, troubleshooting, and optimizing integrations.
-
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to translate business needs into effective integration solutions.
-
Own integration roadmaps and documentation, ensuring compliance with governance, security, and audit requirements.
-
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure integrations.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and data issues that impact finance and payroll operations.
-
Be available occasionally after hours to handle time-sensitive incidents, software releases, or critical updates.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
-
5+ years of ERP implementation experience, with at least 3 years focused on Workday Finance and/or Payroll integrations
-
Strong command of Workday integration frameworks: Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PICOF, and Integration Cloud
-
Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning and its interactions with Workday Finance
-
Solid understanding of key finance and payroll domains: General Ledger, AP/AR, banking, benefits, compensation, and tax filings
-
Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills; able to explain complex topics to non-technical audiences
Work Environment & Culture:
-
Hybrid schedule requiring three in-office days per week to support collaboration and on-site engagement
-
Flexibility to support other cross-functional initiatives as needed—adaptability and proactive mindset are key
-
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement and business enablement
