Job Description

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Senior Application Developer – Workday to design, develop, and maintain integrations, configurations, and reports within the Workday HCM platform. This individual will play a key role in supporting HR technology initiatives, ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and strong alignment between business needs and Workday capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building complex integrations, configuring HCM modules, and supporting large-scale Workday environments. You’ll collaborate closely with HR stakeholders, analysts, and IT partners to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance Workday solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Workday development and support.
  • Proficiency in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Cloud Connect.
  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM modules such as Benefits, Compensation, Talent, and Payroll.
  • Hands-on experience building and troubleshooting Workday integrations and custom reports.
  • Working knowledge of XML, XSLT, REST/SOAP APIs, and data mapping.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming (e.g., Java, Python, or Scala).
  • Experience with SQL for data analysis and query optimization.
Preferred Skills & Tools
  • Workday Report Writer and dashboard customization.
  • Knowledge of Workday security model and business process frameworks.
  • Experience using .NET, Azure DevOps, and Octopus for deployment automation.
  • Exposure to macros and Microsoft Office integrations.
  • Understanding of software design, debugging, and testing methodologies.
  • Relevant Workday certifications (Integration, Studio, or Reporting) strongly preferred.
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly to business users.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with HR, IT, and third-party vendors.
  • High integrity when handling sensitive employee data.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive in identifying and resolving challenges.
