Director of IT Architecture

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Director of IT Architecture to define and lead enterprise-wide architecture strategy across network, cloud, and systems domains. This role provides strategic and technical leadership to ensure technology platforms align with business, clinical, and regulatory requirements while supporting scalability, security, and innovation. The Director partners closely with IT leadership, security, and business stakeholders to modernize infrastructure and optimize technology investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute enterprise IT architecture strategy and multi-year technology roadmap

• Lead and manage teams responsible for network, cloud, and systems architecture

• Establish architecture standards, governance, and best practices aligned with regulatory requirements

• Oversee network, cloud (hybrid/multi-cloud), and systems architecture initiatives

• Drive adoption of modern platforms, automation, and emerging technologies

• Partner with security teams to ensure strong cybersecurity posture and compliance

• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to optimize solutions and costs

• Establish performance metrics, manage risk, and ensure high availability and scalability

• Provide architectural guidance to support interoperability and enterprise systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

• 10+ years of experience in IT architecture, including 5+ years in a leadership role

• Strong background in network, cloud (AWS preferred), and systems architecture

• Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare strongly preferred

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and observability tools

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Advanced certifications and Master’s degree preferred
