Content Manager

Who does a Content Manager report to? A Content Manager generally reports to a UX/UI Director, Director of Creative Strategies, or a Director of Digital Strategies.  In a smaller company, a Content Manager will report to a Director or VP of Information Technology.

What does a Content Manager do? The Content Manager is responsible for some combination of creating, improving, and sharing online content.  A Content Manager wants to ensure that content will help a business engage clients, increase SEO, and promote brand awareness.  Content managers will analyze web traffic to optimize content. Content management roles often require a Bachelor’s in Journalism, English, or a similar field.  These roles also often require a familiarity with web publishing, content management systems, HTML, and social media.
