Monitors the running of production jobs to ensure their successful completion. Successfully monitors cross-platform systems. Resolve all issues by taking appropriate corrective action or coordinating resolution through other support teams. Performs installing and removing all hardware in the Data Center and works with the various hardware vendors and Client's infrastructure teams to resolve hardware problems. Maintains an accurate inventory of installed equipment and ensures that adequate environmental needs are met. Provides operational support to the other functional groups within Information Services as needed across the enterprise, e.g., Configuring Raritan connections, APC UPS, MPS, and environmental equipment. Supports home and remote office scheduled and emergency electrical and HVAC maintenance and power-downs. Adheres to information technology principles, standards, and guidelines to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, dependable, secure, and well-documented products and services. Monitors the daily backups of all servers globally utilizing the appropriate backup software (Cohesity, Data Domain for Windows, and UNIX). Ensure backup status reports and facilitate any corrective actions needed to resolve problems and / or issues. Ensure that all offsite tape management is handled accurately, following the pre-defined rotation schedule for each platform. Must be able to identify the problem, notify the support teams, and take corrective actions as directed. This typically involves putting batch processing on hold until the issue is resolved, if necessary. The role will require performing various duties that require a moderate working knowledge of computing platforms and the business processes that run on these platforms. This requires the knowledge and experience to diagnose and restart these services. Knowledge: Knowledge of the hardware used by the various platforms. Knowledge of Operating Systems including zOS, Windows Server, Open VMS, HP/UX, and Linux. Backup software products, including DFSr, Cohesity, and Data Domain.
